To dial into and log on to the CRISP network, you must create and configure a connection. This document describes how to create and configure a dial-up connection in Windows XP.
Open the start menu and click on Control Panel followed by a double click on Network and Internet Connections.
1.- Choose Setup or change your Internet connection and click on Setup in the new window that just appeared.
2.- A Wizard will start. Select the option Connect to the Internet and click on Next
3.- Select Set up my connection manually and click on Next
4.- Select Connect using a dial-up modem and click on Next
5.- Type the name CRISP Internet in the appropriate field and click on Next
6.- Enter the CRISP phone number you received and click on Next
7.- Enter the Username and Password that you receiver from CRISP. We recommend leaving the currently checked checkboxes untouched. Click on Next to continue.
8.- We recommend checking the Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop checkbox for maximum convenience. Click on Finish to end the installation process.
9.- You will now have a connection on your desktop that enables you to use the CRISP Internet services. Double click on the newly created icon will present you with a new
window. In this window you just have to click Dial to establish your connection.
While connection please keep in mind that modem connections may take up to 1 minute before they
are fully active. We recommend not to start any internet related program, for example the Internet Explorer, before the connection is fully established.
